House Project

So I mentioned in a previous post how we have moved house and what a mammoth task we have undertaken. I really think we may have underestimated the amount of work we had to do are still doing, but to be honest it hasn't really bothered me as much as I thought it would. My poor husband has been such a trooper working a full time job and coming home and laying floors, painting etc.. but we had to get the builders in initially to do the big stuff. I will probably compile a list so you can see the bulk of what where doing and cross off as we go. Heres some of the things we love about this new place and why we bought it.

SPACE - We have so much stuff that going from a 2 bed to a 3 was essential. We will probably set the third bed up as a guest bed/office then nursery when the time comes. We have a bigger kitchen, as the kitchen in our old place was a tiny galley style....

GARDEN - This was one major selling point for us as we had a crappy little yard before and here was have big gardens to the front, side and rear. This was paramount to our search as we wanted Eden to have outside space to play.

SCHOOLS - I feel like a very responsible adult and very proud to find a property with one of the boroughs top rated primary schools, literally at the bottom of the street. Eden will go to the nursery there next year and then hopefully get a place in the infants.

QUIRKY - It just feels nice. It has the odd L Shaped kitchen and bathroom, and lots of windows and it has only ever had 1 previous owner who lived in it for about 65 years!! So although it is in a bit of a sorry state I imagine it has been a much loved family home.
